At overwatchdesigns.com we’ve been trying to design a variety of stickers, but it is likely quite obvious that I have an affinity for products involving the military, law enforcement, and fire/EMS. I feel like there are a group of people in this world that are protectors, or as David Grossman calls them in his seminars and books, “sheepdogs.” They are those that aren’t satisfied with letting life happen to them and have the drive to protect those that he or she loves. Some people out there will never understand “us.” Why an individual would run towards an emergent situation, rather than run with the herd, desperately trying to get away. I’ve tried explaining it to people, but they just don’t get it. It isn’t in their wiring. Chances are, if you are reading this, you either get it, or have someone close to you that does.
We started with a bunch of stickers involving Hummers, weapons, parachutes, and made a few “tabs” that are used in the military to designate a specialty. The military has tabs for Special Forces, Rangers, Airborne Infantry, etc. Many paramilitary organizations have begun to use these tabs too. Organizations like SWAT teams, Search and Rescue (SAR) teams, etc.
We had made a “Sheepdog” tab out of vinyl, and through some collaboration with blacksheepwarrior.com, decided to make a key tab as well.
