We are right in the middle of this “Holiday Season” and Americans are frantically trying to have everything they need done by Christmas. Having the money to buy presents, the time to pick them out, and getting the right one for each person on your list is STRESSFUL. So stressful that many Americans now completely skip or at least gloss over Thanksgiving…the one day set aside to be thankful for what we have.

Many families cook a turkey and watch football on Thanksgiving, but I think many of us have forgotten what it’s all about. I know I often take for granted the God that loves me, the family that surrounds me, and all the things and opportunities I have.

We live in a country that allows us to “be” anything we want, go and do as we please, and believe or say almost anything we want. We even have men and women who put themselves in harm’s way daily to protect that freedom.

This year, I want to adjust my poor rushed attitude on life and be Thankful, not just in November.
